The Creation of My Creature

It took me a while to figure out what kind of creature to create. I didn't know whether I wanted to create a small, simple creature or something as complicated as a human. I decided to create a giant creature about eight feet tall.

Now, a lot of you guys are going to think the way that I collected the materials for this creature was not really... morally correct. I robbed several graves and tore the limbs of corpses off to put on this creature. In my defense nobody was really using these parts anymore so why not put them to use? I think these people would understand. It's in the name of science and creation!

Anyhow, it took me two years to create this creature. I ended up isolating myself from others so that I could focus on my creation as much as possible. It wasn't my intention, it just kind of happened. I felt really guilty because my dad told me that he wanted me to keep in contact with them, but I needed to work and keep focused on what I was doing.

I ended up neglecting my own needs and stopped sleeping. It really took a toll on my health; I got really sick. I couldn't spend a second away from working on my creation, though. I promised myself that I would let myself rest once I was done.

The night that I had finally finished my creature and brought it to life is one that I will never forget. I had been making the creature in my apartment and once it was fully assembled, I used my instruments and brought it to life. I had been so excited and worked nonstop on this creature. All my excitement and enthusiasm went away the moment the creature opened its eyes. I suddenly felt disgusted and a sense of horror... what had I created? What had I done?

I ran from my creature into my bedroom. I decided to try to get some sleep but that idea didn't last long. I awoke during the night to the creature standing over me. I was terrified even looking at the being that I created. I ran out of the apartment and never quit moving.

I suddenly saw Henry Clerval! My best friend since childhood! I was so happy to see him. He mentioned to me that I looked very ill and he was concerned for the state of my health. I took him to my apartment and once we arrived, I had a complete nervous breakdown.

I have been recovering for many months and Henry has been taking care of me. He is truly an angel and I am so grateful I have him by my side. I likely won't update until I am fully recovered.

here is a picture of Henry for anyone wondering:
